The majority of dancer injuries stem from the waist down. More commonly, from the ankle down. Dancers will push to no avail on their injuries not knowing where or what their actual injury is. And of course, we end up with ankles the size of softballs! think RICE in a pinch. Rest Ice Compression Elevation! Stretching, massaging, and heat may work for other injuries as well.
